Katatedori ryotemochi koteoroshi
- Hand draws a straight line on tenkan from in front of the body to in front of the face
- Bring your body in to your grasped hand
- Tenkan to face same way as ukemi
- Bring grasped hand up to the side of your face, other hand up on other side
- Fingertips and line of sight in direction you will turn, and turn
- As ukemi comes around in front of you, down from one point (straight down)
- Both hands down, free hand takes wrist from above
- Up in between ukemi's arms (straight up)
- Down in koteoroshi (straight down)

Breakdown for teaching:
- Front foot is "earth" hand, partner is in gyaku hanmi
- "Earth" hand only: walk forward to throw partner: unbendable arm, but don't push forward with arm (can bring close to body before walking forward), don't push with shoulder
- "Heaven" hand: leave grasped wrist in place, bring elbow to partner's one point
- As one step forward from front foot, bring rear foot in (hikitsuke)
- Don't go too far down or partner can push you all the way down
- "Heaven" hand can't go straight up - lead partner out forward a bit
- Don't go up too high or partner will lose grip - move with your arm and partner arm as one unit
- Turn hand little finger upward at the highest point
- Aim for partner's face and down
- At the same time, step high with rear foot fowards, bring other foot in (hikitsuke)

Kaisho
- Go forward to draw own arm into body
- Drop hand straight down, tenkan

- Arm movement on turning ukemi back, and return on counter attack follows the same arc back and forth
- Hold back of hand
- 1st to 2nd knuckles to under collarbone; ukemi fingertips are pointing up
- Own hand vertical (right angle hand and your lower arm) - this is the hand that applies the waza
- Maintain posture standing with mind and body unified - don't lean backwards
- Turn body a bit sideways to "return ukemi's ki" - take out the slack in the wrist
- Ki from ukemi fingertips along your other arm - ki from your fingertips far into distance behind ukemi to far into the distance behind you, fingers into the pocket
- "Bow" slightly - don't pull back as bring your hand into your shoulder
Katatori sankyo (irimi, tenkan)
- Hold 3 kyo line
- Ukemi elbow to 90 degrees
- Hold fingertips
- Upper hand as far as it can go
- Lower and upper hand turn together
- Line of movement is up under ukemi arm behind the shoulder
Ryotedori kokyu nage zenpo nage
- Arms are relaxed, move from one point as in funakogi waza
- Deep down from one point as do koshin waza back
- 180 degree turn: ukemi goes straight
- Up straight and take in 4 kyo. Don't swing ukemi out to the side.

Breakdown for teaching (A):
- Shake hands, then take partner's hand from above
- Make a big circle forward toward your partner's face
- As you take a big step forward
- Keep going forward until partner is lying on the ground
- Stand in ai-hanmi
- Ukemi goes for nage's front shoulder
- Sweep hand down (harau)
- Step or skip back (sagaru)
- Bring front foot back (hikitsuke)
- Arm up high
- Front foot steps forward
- As free hand to ukemi's upper arm just above the elbow
- Bring rear foot forward (hikitsuke)
- Cut hips so ukemi shoulder is lower than their hand
- Skip forward
- Ukemi's hand is slightly higher than shoulder (greater 90 degrees from side)
- "Send ki" through ukemi's fingers toward back of head
- Last part of nage to leave ukemi is little finger of hand on ukemi's upper arm
